TASI Measurement

TASI Measurement was established as a holding company in                  Cincinnati, OH.

Lake Monitors

TASI acquires Lake Monitors, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI. This acquisition adds a robust product portfolio of Variable Area “piston style” flow meters, as well as Paddle Wheel flow meters.

AW Company, KEM Küppers & EXACT Dispensing Systems

TASI acquires the AW Company of Franksville, WI, KEM Küppers of Karlsfeld Germany, and EXACT Dispensing Systems of Newcastle, ME. These three companies brought TASI positive displacement and turbine flow meters used in many industrial sectors, as well as 2-part piston metering systems used in assembly and manufacturing operations around the world.

AW-Lake Company

TASI merges together AW Company and Lake Monitors to form AW-Lake Company. This newly formed business relocated all office, manufacturing, and engineering to Franksville, WI.

Vögtlin Instruments and Litre Meter

TASI acquires Vögtlin Instruments AG of Aesch, Switzerland and Litre Meter Limited of North Marston, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. Vögtlin Instruments brought TASI into the gas flow measurement market with its thermal mass flow meters and controllers, and Litre Meter produced Rotary Piston flow meters highly specialized for the offshore oil & gas industry.

SignalFire Wireless Telemetry

TASI acquires SignalFire Wireless Telemetry of Hudson MA, a rising star in short and long range wireless telemetry products that are compatible with many sensors types, including temperature, level, flow, and more.

ONICON, Air Monitor, Seametrics, Fox Thermal, Greyline, and Pulsar

TASI acquires ONICON of Largo, FL which, through it’s own acquisitions included: Air Monitor, Seametrics, Fox Thermal, Greyline, and Pulsar Instruments. This acquisition addresses liquid flow, steam flow, natural gas flow, airflow, and thermal energy applications with a broad range of flow meter technologies, including electromagnetic, turbine, ultrasonic, thermal mass, vortex, Pitot tube and BTU meters.

Sierra Instruments

TASI acquires Sierra Instruments of Monterey, CA which manufactures thermal mass flow meters and controllers for gas, liquid, and steam applications, as well as ultrasonic and vortex shedding meters.

Mission Communications

TASI acquires Mission Communications of Norcross, GA. Mission immediately complements TASI’s existing Asset Management and Wireless Connectivity Strategy bringing a strong presence in the water/wastewater market.

Pyromation

TASI acquires Pyromation of Fort Wayne, IN, one of the largest temperature sensor manufacturers in North America, and boasts sales to over 45 countries.  With this acquisition TASI takes another step toward becoming a more complete process measurement business.

VorTek Instruments and Accutrol LLC

TASI acquires VorTek Instruments of Longmont, CO and Accutrol, LLC of  Danbury, CT. VorTek is a leading manufacturer of precision flowmeters for the measurement of liquid, gas, steam, and energy. Accutrol is a leading supplier of airflow control and measurement solutions for critical environments such as laboratories, hospitals, pharmacies, and research spaces.

Air Monitor Introduced the FAN-Evaluator | Pyromation Introduced Thermocouples

Air Monitor invents and introduced the world’s first self-averaging differential pressure airflow measurement station, the FAN-Evaluator, creating the foundation for continuous measurement and control in build HVAC systems.

After years of servicing temperature measurement applications, Pyromation began manufacturing its own line of thermocouples.  Through the years the product offering continued to expand.  This innovation established Pyromation as a key player in the North American temperature sensor market and provided the foundation for future developments.

Pyromation developed line of Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) | Sierra established Industrial Instruments Division

Pyromation added Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) to its growing capabilities.  This advanced technology provided customers with more accurate and reliable temperature measurements, enhancing process efficiency and performance across a variety of applications.

Sierra established Industrial Instruments Division based on thermal principles.

Air Monitor Received US Patent for the Only Multi-Point, Self-Averaging Insertion Airflow Probe

Air Monitor received US Patent 4,559,835 for the only multi-point, self-averaging insertion airflow probe capable of accurate measurement in short straight duct runs with nonuniform direction of airflow.

Pyromation designed & launched connection heads | Seametrics launched the FT500 display & IP100/IP200 insertion paddlewheel meter

By designing, patenting, and manufacturing a new series of connection heads, Pyromation enhanced the quality and reliability of the overall temperature sensor assemblies. 20 years later, the company redesigns these enclosures with new innovative features to meet expanded general purpose and Hazardous Location applications and certifications.

Seametrics launched the IP100/IP200 insertion paddlewheel meter and FT500 display. These new products were for applications including manufacturing, baking and industrial plant processing.

KEM launched the new Helical Flow Meter line | Air Monitor released AUTO-Purge Automatic Cleaning Technology

In order to expand their product portfolio, KEM managed to introduce the Spindle Flow Meter product line for highly viscous and abrasive media. Helical Flow Meters (SRZ) are meters that operate on the positive displacement principle. These flow meters are particularly suitable for measuring highly viscous media due to their low pressure drop and low shear.

Air Monitor released AUTO-purge automatic cleaning technology establishing their place as the leader in accurate airflow measurement solutions catering to the challenging industrial markets seeking to reduce maintenance costs in dirty airflow applications.

Sierra Introduced DrySense Mass Velocity Sensor | Fox Thermal released a first-of-its-kind thermal mass flow meter | KEM Introduced the HM Turbine Flow Meter

Sierra introduced patented No-drift DrySense sensor technology, delivering long-term stability for thermal mass flow meters and ensuring reliable in-situ calibration validation.   

Fox Thermal entered the thermal mass flow meter market with the release of a first-of-its-kind thermal mass flow meter with intrinsic diagnostic capabilities using an advanced microprocessor.

In 1995, KEM was able to further expand their product portfolio. With the introduction of the turbine flow meter, it was also possible to carry out measurements of continuous and discontinuous volume flows. Their HM Turbine Flow Meters operate on the principle of the Woltmann vane meter. They record the volumetric flow rate in a pipeline through which flow passes via the average flow velocity. These flow meters are mainly used in applications with lubricating and non-lubricating media.

Sierra Introduced InnovaMass, the world’s first Multiparameter Vortex Meter | Mission Communications pioneered remote monitoring for sewer lift stations

Sierra’s InnovaMass 240S/241S immediately became the gas, liquid, and steam flow measurement standard. It was the first multiparameter vortex flow meter on the market to provide precision measurement for five process variables (mass flow rate, volumetric flow rate, density, pressure, and temperature) with one process connection to deliver lower initial costs, less complex installation, and reduced user maintenance costs.

Mission Communications pioneered telemetry–connected remote monitoring for sewer lift stations with the M100 and M800 series remote terminal units (RTUs), revolutionizing wastewater monitoring with alarm notifications, pump monitoring.

AW-Lake and KEM introduced the TRICOR Coriolis mass flow meters | Sierra launched SmartTrak Mass Flow Controller

TRICOR Coriolis mass flow meters revolutionized flow measurement technology significantly. The absolutely reliable and robust mass flow meters can be optimally adapted to any customer requirements. Direct measurement of mass flow, density and temperature can be performed simultaneously.

Sierra releases the first affordable digital high performance Mass flow meter and mass flow controller with Dial-A-Gas and local/remote Pilot Module Control interface to deliver smooth, stable, accurate, and repeatable gas mass flow control to end users.  SmartTrak offers users the ability to view and change every aspect of the SmartTrak with the push of a button without losing accuracy.

Pyromation introduced vertically integrated thermowell offering | Accutrol offered 1st ePI® Valve: The AccuValve®

Seametrics was the first to offer a battery-powered, no moving parts magnetic flow meter for agricultural irrigation, solidifying their position as the leader in mag meter technology for this unique industry. This high feature/high value mag meter served as the platform for future 2” to 12” mag meters including the next generation AG2000, and today’s AG3000 for the agricultural irrigation market as well as the iMAG 4700 for the industrial market.

Pyromation expanded its capabilities by designing and manufacturing a broad thermowell product line in a variety of alloys, along with the applicable testing capabilities and certifications. This development enhanced product quality and reliability for customers with demanding applications across diverse industries.

Accutrol launched the AccuValve® as the first electronically operated airflow control valve in a competitive critical environments market. Sustainable building control with high-accuracy airflow sensing with a revolutionary design based on proven technologies. This design and Accutrol Insight Software won Accutrol two AHR Innovation Awards. First in 2008 and the second in 2016.

Fox Thermal received ATEX and IECEx certification

Fox Thermal goes global when it receives ATEX and IECEx certification for the Model FT3 flow meter and ISO 9001 Certification as part of its commitment to improving processes, customer service, and product quality.

EXACT converted from digital counter to HMI/PLC controls

SignalFire introduced the Sentinel family, a series of C1D1 rated wireless nodes forming the basis of their 900MHz platform, enabling wireless connectivity for industrial sensors in hazardous environments.

Sierra introduced their QuadraTherm 640i/780i Thermal Mass Flow Meter marking a disruptive breakthrough in thermal dispersion technology. With its sensor design advancements, coupled with a proprietary qTherm “Brain”, the 780i inline version achieves gas mass flow rate measurement accuracy of +/- 0.5% of reading above 50% of the full scale (Air) making it the most accurate thermal meter in the industry. Before QuadraTherm, this level of accuracy was never thought possible with thermal dispersion mass flow meters.

EXACT Dispensing Systems converted their Meter Mix & Dispense systems over to HMI/PLC controls, marking a step change in the evolution of their systems, allowing for greater control and visibility of their system data.

KEM introduced the TCM High Pressure Coriolis meter for Hydrogen applications

The TRICOR Coriolis high pressure mass flow meter is offered in three pressure ratings: 414 bar [6,000 psi], 690 bar [10,000 psi] and 1050 bar [15,200 psi].

Fox Thermal launched the first thermal mass flow meter with a digital sensor providing the platform for advanced features like on-board gas menus and calibration validation thus greatly expanding in-field programming capabilities.

Pyromation achieved domestic and international certifications for a broad range of temperature sensor assemblies approved for use in NEC, ATEX, and IECEx Hazardous Locations, ensuring enhanced safety and reliability for customers in a variety of industries worldwide.

Accutrol released the VorTek Airflow Transmitter. VorTek provides superior airflow measurement technology for duct, fan inlet, and fan array that is designed for ease of application, installation, and use. It is the only digital airflow sensing in the competitive HVAC market and the only linear airflow measurement technology available.

SignalFire launched the PressureScout | Mission Communications added multi-carrier support | Mission released MyDro 150/850

SignalFire launched the PressureScout, an intrinsically safe wireless pressure sensor integrating a radio, pressure sensor, and internal battery, offering a cost-effective solution for remote pressure monitoring without wires or additional power.

Mission Communications adds multi-carrier support for their telemetry connected RTUs, creating improved connectivity for customers based on the best signal for each monitoring site.

Mission Communications releases two game–changing products: the MyDro 150/850 RTUs with improved design, expandability, LED touchscreen, and over-the-air firmware updates; and the 123SCADA platform that provides customers with live data, customizable desktops, reports, and more.

Seametrics released the AG90 and EX90 insertion magnetic flow meter |
EXACT successfully added ultrasonic metering to their offerings

Designed as a high value, highly dependable battery powered insertion style mag meter that performs well in both clean and dirty water applications. Ideal for both propeller meter retrofit and new installations, the AG90 and EX90 is designed to designed to upgrade systems from mechanical propeller meters to a no-moving parts solution. The ease of installation and variety of installation fittings make it appealing in applications ranging from irrigation and well usage monitoring to dewatering and industrial processes.

KEM introduced the new ECO Pulse Amplifiers

SignalFire released the RANGER family, cellular-based transmitters connecting industrial sensors to the cloud via LTE Cat M1 technology, complemented by the SignalFire Cloud web application for remote monitoring, control, and alarming.

KEM introduced the new ECO pulse amplifiers that can be used with all KEM flow meters. The amplifier system includes a single tap and double tap for higher resolutions or bi-directional flow measurement with standardized push-pull output stage.
